I was very happy with how the points performed so I will be using them again this year. What kind of bow are you using? Good luck this season. This is how my first recurve season went last year. hunt-indiana.com/thread/59890/first-recurvehunt-indiana.com/thread/59969/old-kodiak-magnum-scored-again

At 40# I'd go with a 2 blade and arrow weight around 450-475gr

The extra weight up front might be a good idea as long as you are still getting good arrow flight. I agree on the 2 blade suggestion.

I always like two blade heads that you could sharpen yourself. Have used Zwickeys, Howard Hills and the old traditional bear Razorheads. For arrows, my favorites were good old fashioned cedar arrows. Three rivers Archery in Fort Wayne is a big dealer of traditional archery gear.
