Congrats!! I have been shooting Zwickey's for 23 years out of a compound. It's the only broadhead I've ever used!!

Thanks guys.
dbd870, I've set a limit of 15 yards for a shot. This one cooperated.

Thanks guys. dbd870, I've set a limit of 15 yards for a shot. This one cooperated. Yeah I won't shoot more than a few yards more than that myself.

You'll find me watching the electronics counter ( with one foot in SG ) sun-thurs 10:00PM to 7:00! Try it again sometime.

Congratulations! I've never shot a recurve or longbow, but I bet that it is quite difficult!

Congratulations! I've never shot a recurve or longbow, but I bet that it is quite difficult! It's a lot different from shooting a compound. I made the switch a few years back. I shoot instinctively. No aiming method. It's sort of like throwing a baseball. I just focus on where I want the arrow to go. My range went from 40 yards with a compound to 15 yards with a traditional bow. I've had to pay more attention to stand locations and set ups. I think it's made me a better hunter. This is my 3rd traditional/primitive bow kill. I still use a crossbow to fill the freezer. I have found it much more enjoyable to practice with traditional bows compared to a compound.

Congratulations! I've never shot a recurve or longbow, but I bet that it is quite difficult! I took an archery class in college where we shot recurves at distances from 5 to 20 yards. You should have seen where some of those arrows wound up. I thought someone was going to get shot more than once.
