Influenza is a virus with many constantly mutating variants. It is nothing like a cold or "stomach flu". It can be a killer.
The shots are safe, they do not cause autism or Alzheimer's. Even if there was a one in 10 million chance of a bad reaction, it is safer than what influenza might do to you.
Because it takes so long to manufacture the vaccine, the predictions for strains have to be made way in advance, so sometimes the vaccines are a fair match to what circulates, sometimes not so good.
Unfortunately there is a lot of disinformation out there about vaccines in general. Try to imagine life without vaccines for polio for example.
Modern flu shots are inactivated viral mixes and will not give you the flu,nor do they contain dangerous mercury.
If you get the flu when it could have been avoided, you can spread it, which is not a good thing.
Not to rant, but I get tired of these wives tale stories going around, while every year kids die for no reason.

It's only like a cold or stomach flu in that they are both viruses.
When rabies mutates to where it jumps to humans, we'll have a doosy on our hands.
Get the shot if you're healthy; it will help. It's good for you, and pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
