I was lucky enough to pick up a Kel-tec pmr-30 over the weekend.I think I love it but haven't shot it yet so will reserve that.Anyway, I've been looking for ammo. It's not that easy to find and what you do find is $15 a box! That's kind of high.I found some armscore at that price somewhere online.Paid that in Jasper, and there's a little on gunbroker but it seems to be going high. I did find some today at Midway and it was only $11 and change for cci jhp,40grain. Y'all getting any local or on the net with a good price? I didn't know it was so hard to find. Wade

Hit and miss in the NW by South Bend. I try to buy a box whenever I find it. Doubt the avail or price gets much better. Not popular enough, but it us one helluva good caliber!

I know more and more people that are going to the pmr-30 for a carry gun.30 rounds in the pistol and 60 more in two clips in the hip pocket. No matter how poor a shot you are with 90 rounds something is going to get hit.And if not it should put a bit of fear in whoever! wade

Would hate to hear what the jury thinks about shooting 90 times at a threat! Hope you never need them all. Lol
I have heard of several jamming issues with these. Guys online sound like hit and miss, gun specific. Hopefully you get a good one! Please let us know how it turns out.

A friend of mine who is VERY serious about his CC weapon runs 1,000 rounds thru anything he is carrying. If he has one hiccup, it is addressed. If he has another failure to fire/eject/load he doesn't carry it.

If he has another failure to fire/eject/load he doesn't carry it. Im the same way, except its gone with the first hiccup Therefore I carry glocks I have never had an issue with any glock I have owned

I don't own a .22 Magnum but have noticed that our Walmart hasn't had a single box in stock going on 5-years now.

The only .22 Mag that I have is a convertible Single Six. The local Sporting Clays range usually has .22 Mag in stock.

However while still a fine rifle, I wasn't impressed with the .22 Magnum cartridge, especially for Squirrel Hunting. I used the F.M.J. bullet variation, as the Soft Pt. Hollow Point was too destructive; but when I shot a Squirrel with the F.M.J. they would fall out of the tree and run off many times. So I traded this rifle for one in .22 Hornet as I could load down the Hornet for Squirrels plus reload.

I've been picking up boxes here and there in the past few weeks to send a few different brands down the pipe of my new Henry Pump. Dicks up at Carmel has Hornady .22WMR 30 gr VMAX. Rural King Greensburg has Winchester .22WMR Varmint HV 30 gr and Big R had ARMSCOR. All prices around $15 for 50 count!

I remember you could buy a box of 50 .22 Magnum cartridges, Super-X for $3.75, back in the good 'ole days. When I had my Model 82 Kimber, in this caliber, .22 Magnums were selling for around $5.50/50 rounds, this being in the mid 1980's.

Yeah seems 14.99 is about the going rate for 22mag around here also Back in 1974, I found an old Marlin Model 27 pump rifle chambered for the .25 Stevens Long. I managed to find several boxes of both short & long shells (CIL brand) and paid $7.50/box of 50.

After checking Midway last week(and they were sold out) I found an auction on gunbroker for 30 grain.1000 rounds for $160. That's $8 a box of 50 so I bid! Then later Midway got the 40-grain mini-mag in for $119 a brick so I bought it. Now I have just won the auction for 1000 rounds so I'm stocked up( more than I wanted to be)LOL! Wade
