I'm not sure if y'all keep up with it much anymore, but recently they've done even more to hurt the sport. They're now separating the races into "stages" and will stop the race after each stage. This is honestly insane. There are more details if you look it up but still that blows my mind.

I agree. I will stop watching. I used to go to a lot when I was younger. I still watch most races, but will probably stop if there are stages.

I know this new format sounds a little confusing to some.I think you'll understand as soon as you see it. I think this is good.#giveitachance
If you love racing, you will love these changes. If you want something to complain about , I guess this will do that for some too.

I love racing however I wouldn't cross the street to watch a NASCAR race live even if the tickets were free. NASCAR needs to get back to good old fashion grassroots racing where you have heat races to decide the starting line up then a 100-200 lap race and all of this in one day.
You folks who say you don't care to watch racing need to see a friday/saturday night hoosier dirt track race, especially sprint cars.

Agreed, we used to have a super stock car and have some fantastic memories of being at tracks until 2 in the morning and seeing dirt fly. If you haven't done it you need to for sure.

The racing is the best it ever been... The crowds at the tracks tell a different story. That's because they're at home on the couch watching the race or listiening to it on the radio. Don't let the empty seat fool yeah... There more folks at about any race then your find at most stick and ball sports!

There more folks at about any race then your find at most stick and ball sports! The crowds are down. There is still plenty of people in front of the TV or listening on the radio. But the reason for this is the cost now days to take a family and go to a Nascar or Indy car race. Tickets, gas, parking, food, motel, ect. This makes a expensive weekend. And yes I do look across the tracks on Saturday nights also. The drop is noticed there also. I have said it many times at local tracks. 1,000 people at 10 dollars is better than 300 at 25. Also at 10 dollars there's still a little cash in pocket for little Johnny a hot dog and popcorn. And as race fans we better be looking into that also. The old is leaving faster than the new is replacing.

I would take a night at Baer field or Angola anytime over NASCAR or Indy.

I have said for years that NASCAR should move closer to it's roots. Cup events on Saturday nights with practice and qualifications the morning of. Only run 30 car fields and have zero guaranteed starting positions.
