It's down at all sporting event....people are staying at home and watching or listen on the radio or many of social media outlets that is offered now days!
The Shy not falling at NASCAR never has never will.
The racing now days is far better then "back in the day" ... Never enjoyed watching the entire field get lapped by the leader or watch only a hand full of teams that could finish or win the race.

I don't think anyone said that the sky was falling at NASCAR. Some stated that they didn't enjoy it as much, live attendance was down, and tv ratings were down.
Never is a long time though.....

So you think the TV & radio people that forked out Billons wasted there money and have bad management decisions? And monster energy just wasted there money they just ponyed up to sponsor the sport?

Did I say that? Nope, never said that they wasted their money. That's a statement that neither you or me or anyone else on here could make accurately without a lot more information than any of us have access to. It's obviously still a profitable venture for them, but still doesn't change the fact that attendance is down and tv ratings are down. Brian France himself was quoted as saying so.

All sporting events are down... Did you not read that when I posted that just a few minutes ago!
What your point?
How do you know what information I or others here have access to? You don't !

All sporting events are down... Did you not read that when I posted that just a few minutes ago! What your point? I read it. And you're wrong... www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/2016/04/14/nba-sets-attendance-records-2015-16-season/83024324/What's your point? My point is that others don't enjoy it....either they don't enjoy it at all or not as much as they used to. It's a fact that attendance is down and tv ratings are down. No matter how much you love NASCAR, it's not going to change that.

You said "all". That article is talking about the most recently completed season. Can we both agree that you were wrong about that?

For the record, I enjoy NASCAR. I actually have family members connected to NASCAR. But that doesn't change facts.

As I stated on page one ..... "If you love racing, you will love these changes. If you want something to complain about , I guess this will do that for some too."....... You seem to make this statement come true! Carry on

Just because you state something doesn't make it a fact. I've already proven that.
Have I complained? Please show me if you think I have.

I have looked at the information regarding the new points format and I can see where this will make for harder driving efforts from all drivers. If I read it correctly the drivers will be told just before the race that on two different laps during the race bonus points will be given to the leading drivers then at the end of the race points will be allocated according to how you finish the race and bonus points for those who finished highest in the three total stages. This should force the usual "better teams" from sand bagging most of the race then with a few laps left come charging up front. This will also put more strategy in the how and when of pit stops. All of this is being done to help out the second and third tier teams which is good for these guys. I think that this new format will put even more excitement in to the sport. When I said I wouldn't go to a race that didn't mean I wouldn't watch a race on TV, and if all the rumors are correct Chrysler will be throwing it's hat back into the ring again in the near future. For the record I enjoy the night races the most as long as it isn't on a night that a good sprint car race is taking place locally. Bingo... I knew the True race fan could/would see the Good!
