Confession: I still have a flip phone. It does what I need it to do, but frequently draws comments and strange looks.
Any other "flippers" here? Or has everyone else gone "smart"?

I like the way my smart phone fits in my pocket. I almost switched back to a flip phone but the internet was hard to navigate on it and I couldn't get any music apps on it so I stick with smart phones

Debating on switching back to a non smart phone. I feel it takes focus away from more important things right now and I'm tired of paying for it.

I just received my iPhone 6 plus. I didn't know if I'd like it because of the size, but I love it now. I had the 4 forever, so this is a huge upgrade.

Because of all the high hills and such, cell phones of any type don't work well where I live. If you use a cell phone here chances are you will receive the message "NO SERVICE".

Wife and I resisted the smart phone craze for a long time. Now we are 2 yrs into ours and love them. As said, weather and texts are my two most used, along with Google maps. And of course, what would life be without being able to check in "here".

Trey put a couple hunting apps on my phone, and they keep me from getting lost in the woods.

They gave me a smart phone 3 yrs ago....ugh they are nice. But deep down I hate them.

I used a flipper for a long time after everyone else was switching to smart phones, the only reason I switched was because when I downloaded my videos to the computer I lost the sound and the video was fuzzy. I sill have the flip phone but have been using a smart phone for a few years now.

I think I have them mostly for my daughter and wife. They spend a lot of time on them. Daughter uses 93% of all our data. When she gets out of college, and pays her own phone bill, I may go back to the primitive way of life.

Service here at the house is bad, I have to have a signal booster to listen to voice mail on the cell phone and sometimes to send a text. Without it, there is no way you could make a phone call. I still have a land line too. Some places I visit there is no or minimal service, and I ended up buying a battery "charger" a month ago. The phone will run the battery down searching for a signal in 6 hours.
I'd be fine without a phone, but in today's society, people expect to be able to get in touch with you *NOW* and when you don't answer a call or a text many customers will look elsewhere. I have a good client that thinks there is something wrong if I don't call him back in an hour or two.

I grew-up not having satellite TV or radio, cable TV, computers, or cell phones, as no one never knew anything about them except what they saw on the old TV show "Star Trek". I think people were much happier then than today, due to these things.

Id prefer a flip phone. Right now my main use of my smart phone is the app we use for response with the FD. Though I could just as easily put it on my tablet and hit en route before I leave the house.
With the way they are billing for phones now, ill likely go back to a flip phone when this one dies.

Have the Moto x now only because that's the only one that att carries. Really wish they bring the droids over from Verizon.
