I posted the question in the ask a CO forum...it was ignored, much like pruning a shooting lane in HNF would be ignored

Weren't you going to post a link dealing specifically with HNF? I have multiple times, you have failed to read them correctly each time. Not my problem anymore. Some men you just can't reach.

The link you posted specifically spells out, in capital letters, National Parks. Just sayin I know it does but.... I will just have to find another link that says what I want it to. It's the internet I can find anything I want with enough time Even admitted it

No you didn't. You posted one dealing specifically with parks. Why would you think it's ok to trim trees on land you don't own? Do you litter on land you don't own?

Hope nobody takes this personal or with I'll intent.... I just love a good debate. No hard feelings either way. I'm just as happy to be proven wrong as right, its such a rarity though lol j/k....

Lol can always count on you to throw out some wild unrelated comparison or accusation. Never fails. Is it OK to break a branch while walking in the dark? Or break that briar out of your walkway? I don't care what YOU do, and I don't hunt HNF or clear lanes very often on my own land. This discussion is about the legality of breaking a branch on nation forest land and the absurdity in that you can't while in stand but OK to do it while walking. We all know we break an occasional branch walking in. Or step on twigs, snap snap. Its no different. Same resulting damage.

So you think breaking and trimming are all in the same? O-Boy....

Both result in the same thing. Can I "break" that branch out of my vision/ shooting lane? Please differentiate. At what point is it acceptable to damage the property? At what point does it become unacceptable?
Oh boy, indeed

If you use a climbing stand, how do you climb a tree without cutting those small branches that grow here and there? Usually they are about a quarter inch in size but can hang up a climber usually coming down.

Not even close..... How you know what everyone uses to trim with??? You don't ..... Breaking limbs by accident and trimming with a reason is no way the same!
If someone can't see that you may want fan the smoke from you view... SMH

I either find a tree with no limbs to the height I wanna go or climb as high as the limbs allow me. Way to much effort.

I like this tactic when people are wrong and then act like they knew they were the whole time once they realize they are wrong.
