Im not hunting the next 3 days in 70 plus weather. Definitely will be out when the front comes through on Saturday. Wind doesn't bother me, hunt on the ground.

With 40+mph gusts on Saturday I probably won't bother. Never had much luck with that kind of wind.

I'll be out no matter what. I'll also be in a box blind.

After working on my tan in the stand over the last couple weeks, I'm looking forward to some nasty weather. Maybe it'll get these stubborn bucks in my areas moving in the daylight. It gets a bit frustrating seeing fresh scrapes everywhere, but no daytime movement.

I hunt in a huge red oak tree and so far no wind has moved it. I do have a ground blind just for the windy days. I will make the call for the location during the morning.

I'm hoping to,see how I feel after I get all done with my processing, might need a day or 2 to recuperate but the weekends sometimes get them moving too with the extra hunters. Guess I'll wait and see.

Sounds worse with rain/snow sat morning winds 15-25 with 40 mph gusts. Be snuggling with the betterhalf . Sunday sounds alittle better.

It was the Wednesday before gun about 5 years ago maybe. Crazy Windy but didn't stop the rut

I don't mind the cold, but I won't drive 65 miles to sit in the wind no matter what. I do remember three years ago on opening day when it was 70+ and really windy. My tree started to sway and branches were falling, I got out of the woods like it was on fire. We all went home that afternoon due to being afraid that the cabin would not be safe to stay in.
I may be done for the year.

I decided today not to hunt Indiana, but hunt at home this Saturday. This weekend to Thanksgiving is the time I see big bucks in my yard. The does in my neighborhood are ready around Thanksgiving and they mate in my backyard most years.

Thinking earlier, last year we had a few days of windy/rainy cold weather the last week of bow. I didnt hunt that day thinking no way anything will be moving. Needless to say i had 2 shooters on my trail cam in front of my stand in daylight hours.
Ill be out.
