I will be leaving work tomorrow at noon so I can get out for a couple hours on this new field I have to hunt on. It's gonna be a cold one but I'll give it a go.

Got several social functions going so I'll be out tomorrow afternoon, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. Not sure yet on next week... It can be tough to get out this time of year. I've been looking for a doe and I'm finding it difficult to get out with Church Christmas activities and kids school activities. I took yesterday afternoon and saw nothing. Don't really have a food source on any of my places after fields have been plowed so I'm probably not missing much. Same here. I've been out 2x in the last 2 weeks. Now we are back on OT at work. Planning on going to my parents Saturday.

Thank goodness the weather is getting hard. Snow and cold in the forecast. Bring it on and get those deer moving. I am shutting down work and focusing on two doe to finish the season. And then my grandson is my primary project come 12/16 when he gets here until season ends. I really enjoy this time of year!

Well I'm now live from the E.R. Received a text while deer hunting that my daughter cut her hand while cutting Paracord for making horse reins. Had to leave at prime time, no deer, but taking care of my dear.

I went out tonight for a couple hours. My toes are just now starting to thaw.
Didn't see any deer. Some cranes flew over, and that was nice to see. They sure do fly high.
Man, it gets dark quickly after sunset this time of year.

Not sure if you still hunt on the bend behind the Church off of 26 but there was 4 does in that field this morning on my way to work... You talking west side or east side?

Man, it gets dark quickly after sunset this time of year. Order some Micky mouse boots, bunny boots. I didn't see any from the stand. Got down at 5:15 to check the back field was going down the trail when I seen something dark. It got darker sooner tonight due to snoww. Three deer stood at the back of the woods couldn't see them good enough in scope to shoot, don't trust my standing position shooting... This is the second time this has happened to me. Once last time last year. Shooting sticks coming with Me from now on!

Man, it gets dark quickly after sunset this time of year. All it takes is trying those feet warmers i had on yesterday one time! They are a savior, thank me later! Im headed out in the morning. I know my chances are better in the evenings this time of year. In tied up til sunday, going when i can.

Man, it gets dark quickly after sunset this time of year. I use toe warmers in the bottom of my boots and one in between my 2 layers of socks on top of my toes. I still can't sit all day but it helps and I only have 400 gram insulated rubber boots. If you have better boots I rekon it would help a little more.

Well we have the daughter taken care of from last night's mishap. Now we are live from the Clay/Owen line again. I know evening hunts are better this time of year. But I couldn't pass up a chance to hunt my tower with it spitting snow. Hopefully something comes to the cut corn field. If not I will be back at it this evening.

Sat for a couple hours in the wind without any deer seen. Got cold, so made a long loop through the property learning more about it for next year. Bumped a doe was all I saw.

It is a great spot for firearm or muzzleloader. Now I just need a cheap muzzy, like one that is $0 retail value. Here is a potential source: www.muzzle-loaders.com/A lot of price points and good folks Edit to add: There is a scoped CVA Wolf for $249 with a case. $5 shipping. No sales tax

Back straps and deer sticks are on the ground. Freezer full. Only thing left is buck tag. Hope it doesn't end up tag soup.
