And no I'm not talkin about what you do when you go to the outhouse...
Figured since I carry around all three I'd ask what your experience is with all three devices.
I have a rattle bag that I just got this year be a first in the woods, I've used real antlers in the past with little success.
Used a primo doe in heat can for years with little success.
Buck grunt and as the others little success.
Not sure if I can say I've had deer running to me in the past or if they gradually made their way toward me from using the can or the grunt but I've never seen a deer buck for that matter and hit the grunt or can and it like perkup and haul arse toward me.

I've had my best results with grunt calls over the years, although sometimes they've smelled a rat and failed to come close enough for a shot. I attribute this to them hearing "another deer", but not seeing one, got a deke to fix that. Never had any results from estrous calls or rattling.

I've used all three to pull bucks to me that were headed elsewhere. That said, grunt call is most consistent. I.e. gets ignored the least.

I've rattled in a bunch of bucks, including one of the biggest I've ever seen hunting (missed it). For me though, it seems like I'll get bucks respond to rattling within a fairly short window of time, typically Halloween up through the first week or so of November, whereas bucks will often investigate grunts from late October clear up through December.
Not conclusive by any means, but consistent enough over the years for me to leave the rattle-bag at home come mid-November.

I'm a reactive caller, never really been a blind caller much. Have had good luck on three of my bucks rerouting them with a grunt or bleat.

I have grunted in several over the years. No luck with the can or rattling, at least that I ever saw. My favorite and most memorable was nine years ago. My father in law was going thru cancer and gave me a bunch of his hunting stuff. I used a few things on an opening day hunt including one of his guns and grunt call. A buck came out about 3 or 400 yds out going the other way. I called out to him and worked him right back to me at 65yd, and dropped him with his 870 12ga. He got to eat tenderloins that night. RIP Mark.

All of that stuff works "some times", as do decoys, scents, etc.
However ..... I think most hunters would be much better served to leave all of the gadgets at home, spend more time and effort playing the wind, placing stands properly and setting up a good ambush.
This stuff brings in dummy six point bucks like crazy if that's what you're after, but is generally way over advertised and over used. Any deer with a little age on it in a moderately hunted area is on to these tricks. You are equally as likely to run them off as attract them. Just my two cents worth, based on 40+ years of trial and error chasing these critters.

GRUNT TUBE.....I can not tell you how many deer I have harvested with the aid of grunt call. This season alone I would venture to say I have called 18 different bucks within bow range. Rattling I have had limited success as deer always seem to be on high alert and nervous when they come in. Have not harvested a deer by this method and use rarely. I have used the can but don't even have in my bag anymore as I have had luck. If time's are slow I blind call with grunt tube a lot. Don't over call would be my tip. 3 or 4 grunt's then quit. If you have a buck in sight that has responded to your call. (QUIT calling.) They can pin point the sound exactly to the spot. And if he is interested he will come within range. That's been my experience.

I keep some cheap call I think it's like a bleat fawn distress all that in one call on my neck and will use it to get attention the fawn distress I only.use for coyotes From what I know about most people and how they use rattle devices is that they don't use them hard enough deer don't softly walk into.each other with their antlers.

Was working a scrape 60 yards away and starting to walk on out of my life. On the second good grunt of mine he heard. Spun around and puffed up like a teen looming for a fight. Walked all stiff legged right back to me. Shot at maybe six yards.

Only rattled a buck in once, by accident, when I was not hunting but stacking wood. Since then I have no luck with any of these while hunting. Even trying to get them closer. So I carry them in case it does draw them in as last resort. I've found older bucks to be the most cautious about them.

Grunt tube works about everywhere. If you don't have a decent to high buck to doe ratio, leave the rattling alone. The main property I deer hunted had a very high buck vs doe ratio. Rattling was deadly. I mainly blind rattled and call many bucks in. Very little pressure and high buck numbers is the key. If you don't have a high number of big deer you are going to call in a bunch of smaller deer. If you have a bunch of 140+ that's what you'll call in. If you have a bunch of 100" deer and one 160", that 160 could care less.

Combo... I use a doe estrous bleat tube call, then grunt like a buck chasing.. best combo, killed several nice bucks using it

Never had what I'd call consistent luck with any of it....I carry a grunt tube but rarely use it.

I have had decent luck with a grunt tube. I only like to use it when i can see the buck however to judge his response. I don't use it for blind calling. I have called several bucks into range this year already with the help of a grunt tube. For blind calling, i have had pretty good luck with the can call. Rattling has never worked for me, not once. I don't even attempt it anymore.

I do all three ...at the same time. LOL
They'll respond to any of them, and also ignore them. I've not rattled one in yet, but grunt and can has worked.
I did read an article where this fella said to call every 5-10 minutes as a buck could be going by without seeing him. I guess it's not like turkey hunting.
I watched a video this week where the fella said the grunt will work all season. He said light rattle latter in the season and early.
