My best is actually the snort-wheeze. I have called bucks in with it when they ignored the grunt, bleat, or antlers.

Combo... I use a doe estrous bleat tube call, then grunt like a buck chasing.. best combo, killed several nice bucks using it This combo seems to get the best response for me too. Works well ? I think it is a combination of all.. I believe people do not call enough... spending as much time as I do out in the wild I have seen and heard a lot of the communications deer make between themselves. maybe I am just odd ball.. but I blind call like a turkey hunter during the pre-rut every 30 minutes

I believe the same. Seems to work better during the pre rut. About the last 2 weeks of october. Have tried using just grunts and just bleats and even fawn bleats and all have worked before but the combo is my "go to". For example the buck I shot this year on oct 18. There were two other does in the field with him. Tried grunting and he paid no attention. Bleated a few times, the does came running to and the buck followed. Grunted a few times to get him in range. Just one example but have also had failed attemps too.
