Nutritionist that I used to go to told me not to eat more than two small helpings of red meat per week; I almost cried in front of her. I told her that I had just filled the freezer with deer and she said "no problem, you can have as much of that as you want!" Comes from the fat content of the meat and that harvested venison is organically fed. My late Sister, Nancy, was the head Nutritionist, at Deaconess Hospital, in Evansville. She told her patients that eating any red meat in moderation is fine. Also venison is more healthier than fatty beef or pork or processed meats. Your body need a certain amounts of fats to function especially your brain and Heart.

So you are saying your food dies from an acute dose of lead poisoning. Sometimes. It happens with steel too, which confuses me because the box is clearly labeled non-toxic. That means it has <1% (i.e. parts per hundred) of all toxic compounds, when we run our tests, we look at individual parameters and test in parts per billion. It all depends on your definition. 1.5 ounces of steel deposited rapidly in the chest cavity (or head) is definitely a lethal dose.

The truth is the vast majority of foods and drinks sold in stores are NOT healthy at all. Nearly every food sold in stores is filled with man made chemicals, man made flavors, and preservatives. There is a reason tens of millions of Americans are so unhealthy, a lot of it has to do with what they eat and drink.
Eating wild meat, fish, and vegetables you grow yourself is the best way to stay healthy in my opinion. Getting adequate exercise is important also.

update: I am definitely not going to cut red meat out of my diet. I just went to a dermatologist for hair loss (freaking terrifying for a woman since I am not at this point ready to shave my head) and my ferritin level was low. Guess what the best source of ferritin is? Red meat, venison is one of the best sources, 4 oz contains 3.3mg vs top sirloin beef 4 oz contains 2.1 mg. Yeah I am going to add a ferrous sulfate pill and vitamin c pill to my diet but eating venison will also help. Most vegans have difficulty maintaining ferritin levels, which greatly affects quality of life and energy.
