Last few days have been rough. Didn't realize the storms were as strong as they were through the night last night.

We had a bad storm here, last evening, as well. Lost power for four hours. More storms expected this afternoon/evening.

I live in the Southern part of the state and we've had 18" of rain since mid-June and 7" of that has fallen since Saturday night/Sunday morning....
I went back and looked @ the ytd total and it's right @ 42".....Our "normal" rainfall for the entire year is 45".....I think we'll beat that figure this year.

It did lightning here for hours, not sure how much rain we got.
FB entertains me now. LOL I never thought I'd like it. I guess if one started watching soap operas, one might eventually start to like it... I'm not going to find out.
Anyway, I saw this recording of a guy getting hit twice by lightning. It was hard not to laugh, but man... I think I would have just stayed down. Needless to say, I didn't stay out long with the dog last night.

A guy I work with lives east of Cincinnati about 35 minutes. I asked him last night if he'd gotten any rain and he proceeds to show me a pic of his rain gauge from yesterday. It showed 5.5" of rain, this was after he got 2.5" the day before. It's getting to be crazy.

We are east of you in Rolling Prairie, US20 and SR2. Same here, little rain now and then. Keeps going around us or drying up or fizzles out right on us. We are on dry, high ground so no problems. Garden is hopping right along. I feel for you guys down south. Can't even imagine what you are dealing with. Stay safe. BTW, on a funny note, you guys are getting rain like we get lake effect snow up here. Drop a foot or two in a day like nobody's business. No hard feelings! Jay

Had to go buy a small electric pump to clear out some of the water in my yard. Usually, it floods a little and is gone in a couple days, but I had mosquitoes breeding in it the past few days.

there is a big difference between optimism and lunacy jon I'm not shy about admitting that I'm crazy. LOL I did see a forecast that said sunny for the next 5 days. Sunny or not, it would be nice if didn't rain.
