I hope they get something! We almost had the BPS there several years ago and they went with the Clarksville location instead, and then there was rumor of Cabela's down at Taylorsville that fell thru, so hopefully this works out!

With their racing involvement, I always thought Indy would be an obvious choice for Bass Pro, but they know more than me I guess, so I really hope the Cabela's deal goes through. : )

If Cabelas went in there, I might potentially be all over the human resource management opportunities!

Believe it when I see it!!!
jajwrigh, that would be a great move. I hunted with a fellow who moved to Nebraska to work for them. He said the offer was too good to be true, and actually turned down the first offer. So the second offer must have been out of this world. Expected to hunt and fish

We just got the morning edition of the Star here at the station (2am) and the Cabela's story is the front page main headline........ Hopefully it happens, and then they put a BPS in Hamilton County!!!!!

The last line:
Due to the success of this project, S. M. Wilson was also chosen to provide construction management services for the Cabela's store in Greenwood, Indiana.

I've only been to one store of each brand but I was far more impressed with the Cabela's in Budha, Tx than I was the BPS in Clarksville and that BPS is supposed to be second only to the one in Springfield.

I.ve been to Cabellas in Sydney, NE and BPS in Portage, IN. I was impressed with both other then BPS didn't have a Bargin Cave or simular for returned items. Good resturaunt though.

I'm not about to be choosey..... I'll be more than happy with either! Out of some loyalty to Gander for being the first to locate in the Indy area I'll definately keep shopping there, but it will be awesome to have that mega-outdoor store in this part of the state.

I passed by the Cabela's on the highway in West Virginia this past holiday season and was blown away at its sheer size--that particular one HAD to be bigger than the BPS in Clarksville! It would be nice to have a Cabela's close by, and especially just a few miles away!

Yep it was in the Daily Journal today, it is a done deal I guess. I'm excited!! You know it will hurt the Greenwood Gander Mtn. though.

To bad they aren't building it on the north side so it would be closer to me. h.h.

I'm pumped up!!! I wish the GM in Castleton didn't look like it was always going out of business.....it kind of looks like a rummage selll joint, IMO. You go to Greenwood and it doesn't! Why is this? I'lll be a LOYAL Cabela's shopper I love them. Been to West Virginia, Sydney, Kearny, Dundee and I think that is it....also I shot 2 turkeys this year within view of a DC in North Platte, NE! .....
