mmmm, mm that stuff is good!
Wish I had a bigger mouth so I could take a bigger bite!
Next batch I willl cut back a tad on the crushed red pepper maybe.
Wish I had another 50 lbs of deer meat.
This year, I am after two decent sized deer.
Or 3 smaller ones.
That is the extant of room I have available in my freezer.
2/3 of it will go into deer salami.
That is how good it is.
;D
Back to seat belts:
I wear one when I drive the company truck.
Their rules, their right to require it.
No argument there.
My own truck, my own choice.
The law is bs, and safety is simply an excuse touted to cover up the fact they are making laws they are not empowered to do.
Some of you may have forgotten, and some may not even know, about the little law the insurance companies pushed through a couple of decades or so back.
Now, no matter how many vehicles you posess, you can only drive ONE at a time.
Therefore, no matter how many you own, there is no more risk of accident than if you only owned a single car.
As such, insuring additional vehicles was extremely cheap, compared to the policy on the first vehicle.
Which was as it should be.
Insurance companies pulled strings and paid off officials, and next thing you know EVERY vehicle you own has to carry its on insurance, even if you only drive it once or twice a year.
Insirance companies profits went through the roof overnight.
Of course, Americans raised cain, and threatened a dozen ways to stop it, but it still remains in effect.
A great many people used to have an old truck sitting around they used a few times a year, but afterwards could not afford to do so.
It used to cost less than $15 extra to insure each additional vehicle.
But hey, it was also probably 'all about safety' then also.
Just like the first seat belt law, which was clearly written and promised to 'never be used as a valid reason to pull anyone over by itself'. . . . now you can be pulled over on 'suspicion' of not wearing a seat belt.
Think long and hard on this, and call me a fool if it makes you feel better about yourself.
America could never be turned into a police state overnight.
All our guns could never be taken away simply by a decision to do so.
But both most certainly can, and will be done, a little bit at a time if we allow it.
The decision to wear or not to wear, can be argued all day, and effectively on both sides.
The law REMOVING THE CHOICE has NO merit, or supportable argument in a free society.
I am TRULY amazed that, even after I explain how wearing a seat belt in either wreck I was involved in would have killed me instantly, it is still addressed as insane for thinking I should even have the right to make my own choice in the matter.
Apparently, that has simply fallen on deaf ears, and it would have been much better had I followed the law and died in the first wreck at 19 years old.
