I'd take her. Illinois doesn't have the season length that Indiana does.

Use her as an observer & a live decoy. Let her walk away or bed down.

Id pass... If you shoot her you are shooting your bait. If she is that comfortable on the opening morning of gun season chances are you will see her later during Muzzleloader season. That is if you have a large area to hunt. If not wait till she gives you a much longer shot than just under the tree. Give that scent a change to linger around as long as possible.

If I haven't killed a deer by then its because I have already passed her up a million times. Threfore i pass again. MLR is doe killing season for me.

i`m with woody she will bring in any close bucks,and besides i love hunting in the muzzy season so no rush..

Depends on the year. This year will be the first in a long time that I'll be meat hunting. I've got a couple of people that want the meat. Depending on my mood and how many I'd taken during bow season, she might get a slug or she might get a pass. Any time in the last 5 years and she would have gotten a pass for sure!

No way I'd even think of shooting her.... Way too valuable alive than dead, especially early in the season. I'll take my doe the last week of the season if my tag is still unfilled. 1 deer per year is enough venison for my freezer.
