Until there's 18" of snow on the ground to pull deer stands!!
Went up to my family woods today to do that. Circumstances just hadn't allowed me to get up there before now... Wasn't bad going in, but coming back out carrying a stand and a blind took a lot out of me!
I'd had an Ameristep Outhouse blind set up since November. It normall stands 76" or so tall, it was less than 50 today! And all of about 2' wide too. They don't hold up well to a snow load! ;D
Good news was that I was able to get across the creek with very little effort though. The woods was nice and serene; snow covered and snow falling....

I don't like leaving ratchet straps around a tree year-round. Not to mention any liability from the idiot nieghborhood kids that trespass.
Plus I needed at least one strap for our trip to SC! And the blind! ;D
I did leave a wooden ladder stand and wooden ladder in the woods though...
