Being Valentine's day my wife and i took off work today. We both exchanged cards and stuff. We decided to have a nice lunch w/out having the kids around. On the way i pointed out that i like a new car.......... We bought her a 2007 Ford, AWD Edge. Its really sharp, with a really nice price tag as well. I'm hoping she's not expecting this every year!

Thank you for supporting an AMERICAN company! uumm ... the Ford Edge is manufactured in Ontario, Canada .... just down the road from the "Ford of Canada" headquarters. Im not 100% sure there is any such thing as an "American Company" anymore.

Isn't Ford American owned and traded on our stock exchange?

It might be built elsewhere, and parts from who knows where, but the profits go to Detroit...... Good choice Lug! Thanks for making all of us look bad! LOL

Isn't Ford American owned and traded on our stock exchange? Yes it is. Toyota is also on the NYSE and has an assembly plant in southern Indiana. I am truly sorry I posted my original comment ... I dint not mean to take this thread on a 90* turn. Congrats on making it the first year. The rest are cake compared to the first.

Thank you for supporting an AMERICAN company! Thats 2 fords i've bought new since i've been employed at Toyota. Odd ? Wouldn't have mattered too much to me which brand we bought as long as SHE'S HAPPY! Starting to learn how this married thing works. My last marriage lasted all of 6 mo. Odd what age will do to ya. Hopefully i won't need to do the beating, as much as before, now that she's getting spoiled! ;D ;D ;D BTW,, the best Toyota's, or Lexus's made in the world are the ones made across the pond. The highest rated Plants in the world, are the one's in Japan, and second place isn't even close!

Isn't Canada part of America? Same as Mexico? All three of our countries are part of North America.
