Well fellas, I probably won't be on here much in the near future. I'm resigning my position at the Village of Heritage due to all of the politics involved with The Adams Memorial Hospital organization. I do have a second interview at another job tomorrow, but I probably won't have web access like I do here. I resigned last night, but I had to come in today for a meeting. They will probably accept my termination immediately, as that's how they operate. I've been at my current facility since the day it opened, and feel like I helped build it. Now, because I embarassed my unprofessional boss, they are pushing me out. In fact, I got written up, first time ever in my life btw, yesterday for a safety violation. What did I do you ask? I tossed an orange 6 feet to someone who didn't catch it, and as a result, spilled someones water. I know, I should be punished. Anyways, I feel like I made some friends on this site, and I'm sure some enemies, but I will miss talking to you guys everyday, and I'll log in whenever I get the chance. I hope all of you have a great year!

The answer is simple, don't take any job that either doesn't have at least a DSL for you to abuse or that doesn't give you a Crackberry with wireless internet. Problem resolved. ;D Don't be gone too long, Chico will go crazy without your attention.

That stinks "D". But if you're not happy, glad you're bailing.
Hope everything pans out for you, and we'll miss your posts.
Like BSU said....there's always the library.

I hope all of you have a great year! I'm very, very sorry to hear about your ordeal, and you will really be missed around here! I hear you about stupid "politics" (pointless and unproductive at the very least), and I know from experience that there is nothing worse than an unprofessional boss. I can tell that what you were doing seemed like a genuine attempt to brighten the day of someone whose day wouldn't be bright if it wasn't for you (in fact, I would guess the whole incident was fabulous entertainment to the residents--the highlight of their week!), and it did not seem like a "safety violation" at all! I value client safety just as much as the next person, but I think that sometimes people are way too quick to blow things completely out of proportion because of JHACHO (sp?) and everything else we have to worry about, and as a result, attempts made to better the quality of life of residents (the most important thing) go overlooked again and again. It's really quite sad. I truly wish you the best of luck--please let us know if there is anything we can help you with!

That is the way they did things where I worked to get rid of all the employees that had been there for over 20 years. And if you were over 50 with over 30 then you had a big bullseye on your back. Hope you find another job soon.
