Man talk about a screwed up system. Took my nieces' husband a month to get his benefits, I have been waiting almost a month also. Cannot get a hold of the dept. through their "help" line, send e-mails and go to my local center, geesh, no one has any answers. They keep blaming my employer, no one wants to be held accountable. I talked with my employer and they said if I needed any help talking to them they would do it. I will be back at the Work One Center Monday morning and I will be "nice" because you cannot voice your complaints with out fear of them delaying it more. First time it has ever happened to me. I know what you mean. I collected unemployment for a few weeks when I got out of the Navy in '84, they cut off my benefits after the 9th week because I forgot to submit my card on Friday one time. I turned it in first thing Monday morning but they wouldn't reinstate me, even after a hearing. I never bothered to apply for them again.

I hear ya!I was in my local Work One office yesterday, and there was a few guys there complaining about theirs. One guy said it's been a few weeks since he got his last check. This debit card thing is a joke if you ask me.I guess a outfit from Florida is running it now. Some people have been told that their money is on their debit card account, but they have never got a card yet.I could tell most of the people working in the office would love to hang Gov Daniels. There must be a reason for his picture not being up on the wall like all the other past governors. The help line is a joke also..

Just wait till they make the change to doing it ALL online, at least now you can go into the office and talk to someone face to face even if they're just a talking head! Lucky for me I work out of a union hall and once you tell them that it rolls much easier.

Lucky for me I work out of a union hall and once you tell them that it rolls much easier. Pretty much all online now, been doing the vouchers online for the past years, I filed online this year. talked to a buddy of mine he had a nightmare too and he is out of a hall also. I imagine it will get straightened out.......heck talking faceto face has gotten me now here. Solohunter

Got 3 e-mails today, one from the commissioners office, 2 phone calls. Sounds like someone was really not doing their job. Now when you call their office(at least at one # one of the callers gave me) they ask for you SS# so they may help you quicker. Well at least Mitch can do 3 pull-ups..... Solohunter

Don't bet on it, usually if they persue it they can usually get it. Nope, they will deny him and he will have to ask for a hearing. At the hearing....if he requests one, our attorney and myself will show up and testify. That takes about 8 weeks to get a hearing, and they won't issue a check untill they rule in his favor.

Just got another e-mail. This person said they were having trouble issuing checks. Mine was/had been "stuck' in the system. Odd. They had been issuing debit cards. Solohunter
