Bad link. Use Tinyurl.com. This one works. tinyurl.com/yjqjnwHowever: "This package was donated by Mari George, Chairwoman of the Board for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of the United States' efforts to save hundreds of starving horses in the U.S. affected by drought and wildfires. While 100% of the bid proceeds will go directly to HSUS's efforts to feed starving horses, only the difference between the winning bid selling price and the fair market value is considered a charitable contribution. (FMV=$4,500.00)" Not that I particularly trust the HSUS or anything, if 100% of the money goes to just that "feed the horses" program I really can't be against it too much.

Didn't know it went to feed the horses but we have starving horses? Never heard of that.

Not that I have that kind of scratch to throw around , but even if I did I wouldn't contribute to anything that will benefit the HSUS . Horses are starving ? Hey , buzzards have to eat too . There are people starving around the world , I care far more about them than I ever will a horse .

The cause may be legit, but I do not trust anything that HSUS is associated with.

Oh god, now we're going to have to hear Sally Struthers saying, in her whiny voice, "please help feed the horses" ("Do you want to make more money?") FINGERNAILS ON A CHALK BOARD!
