Hey guys i've got an old (30+yrs) pellet gun made by benjamin. She hasn't worked in years. I'm sure its just a wore out seal of somesort, but due to the age of it and my ignorance of it, i don't want to take it apart myself. I was wondering if any of you have any experience with these types of guns or know of anyone that would be able to work on them. I've tried to do some research on the web, but couldn't find too much.
Thanks guys,
Lug

A lot of times the seal dries up. Try some oil. If there is a place marked for oil put in a few drops and pump it. A few more drops and pump it a dozen times until you start to feel a little resistance. It takes a little time for it to soak up the oil and get flexible and a little bigger so it will seal.
You can't hurt it with too much oil so don't worry about it. If it doesn't eventually help you probablly just need seals.

If there is not an oil post, just apply a generous amount of gun oil or 3 in 1 oil to the exposed nylon or felt air chamber seal. Work the pump action until you start feeling resistance. DRY FIRE IT A FEW TIMES BEFORE LOADING, OTHERWISE YOU MAY HAVE A PELLET JAM IN THE BARREL DUE INSUFFICENT AIR PRESSURE.

Thanks for the suggestions,, but this isn't a pump gun. It takes Co2 cartriges and shoots a .22 pellet. When i drop the Co2 down the tube (under the barrel) and screw the lid back on. After the first shot the air from the Co2 leaks out rapidly.
Thanks again,
Lug

If it's a Crossman, throw it away and buy a new one that pumps up. That's what I did.

It's OK with me.
He can keep his CO2 gun if he wants, I'm just offering a little advice based on "where I've been". I've owned three of those co2 guns in my life and I don't own any now. They all three succumbed to my "surgery" efforts at reviving them due to leaks.
