Too hot to do much else. One thing in particular caught my attention this year. Always looked for missing or loose parts and just took the welds for granted. Never again. Welded aluminum tree stands.

Nearly every weld you showed shouldn't have passed an inspector , and not one looked to be robotically welded . CNC welding machines are usually programmed to rehit the crater at the end of the weld whether welding steel or aluminum for the reason you cited , and they exhibit very uniform profiles . Any competant welder knows to rehit the crater as well , but many don't .
