2nd Annual Hunting Indiana Deer Hunting “Contest” coming soon..
Since the Kentucky archery season is about a month away and we have some members from south of the Ohio River and we have some Hoosier members that do traverse down there to kick off their deer hunting season I though we had better get this 2nd Annual Hunting Indiana Deer Hunting “Contest” on the road.
Our membership has grown considerably since last year, so maybe we should do the following:
1) Make it three hunter teams. This would help so that 2 could pick up the slack if one member eats tag soup.
2) Someone mentioned teams by areas or zones. How about if we do this? Sign ups CAN be by teams, all three together, two together or individually. So if three or two buddies from the same area/zone and want to be on the same team they can be. Members can still sign up individually and we can still hold a random drawing for teams from the individual sign ups.
3) Points would be the same as last year. 5 points for antlerless and 5 points plus number of points on a buck.
4) All deer count, in state, out of state, military hunts, park hunts, refuge hunts. The only exception would be deer killed on a nuisance deer permit.
5) It is still just for “bragging rights” only.
Please give me back some input as quickly as possible on these suggestions so I can put up a sign up thread.
Thanks,
WW
