I belive the week-end warriors are the guy's that are out the first day of shot gun season and probably done by 3:30pm deer or no deer. I just started a new job a couple of years ago so I don't have the vacaton built up yet, between shut down and what the little lady at home wants to do for vacation I can't pick my vacation week of hunting yet but watch out next year! For now I'm mostly hunting weekends.

You guys have to remember that some guns being sold at chain stores are advertised as being sighted in at the factory and all you do is load them up and go hunting. Its not my cup of tea but i wont condemn those who do it. At least they are trying to become involved in hunting and bought a license or two. Every time i see a young guy or gal in a sporting goods dept and they look confused about buying equipment i ask them if i can help. A lot of times they are grateful and ask my opinion on what they should buy and sometimes they don't. Most people on here are dedicated sportsmen and we live and die our sport. Labeling in-experienced people isn't doing our sport any good. h.h. Its not the in-experienced people that scare me the most, its the ones that just don't give a rats a*s, all they want is a deer! The weekend warrior is the guy that doesnt give two s for where, when, how, or who... as long as he gets to take his new gun and box full of slugs out to the woods on opening morning. I had a weekend warrior last year drive a four wheeler right up to my property line jump off while it was still rolling and he sat right next to the path I expected deer to come from. He wasnt 80 yards away from me. The worst part is that it was my girlfriends first time out hunting... She had been with me when i shot a doe the year before and she wanted to try it... so we spent all summer practicing, reading, and learning safety together... then opening morning some a-hole did that.... Needless to say I just about put a .50 cal powerbelt in the boiler room of his shiny new fourwheeler. I was hot to say the least... We just got down and walked out of the woods at about 8:00 in the morning on opening day. Its the earliest i had ever left the stand. She was disappointed as well. I felt bad for her. Oh well she got to go out for muzzleloader season.. and loved it.
