Just got a trail cam and after 2 days my card was full?? Turns out I had the time between pictures set at 1 minute, and I have about 30 pictures of the same buck. Out of 84 pictures the card could store, I had only 3 different deer photoed. What time of time delay between pictures do you guys typically use?
Thanks,,
Alan

I think mine is set at one picture every three minutes and it does very well at that setting.

What kind of camera do you have? How big is the card?
I have a Moultrie game spy 200. I turned down the image setting on mine to where I can get 125 pictures and the quality is still decent.
I have my delay set at one minute currently, when I had it over a corn pile, I had it set at 2-3 minutes.

I've got a Leaf River digital and have two 128mb flash cards. I just swap them out each time I go into the woods. Then I dump the card into a card reader on my PC at home. Works pretty slick.
I have mine set to 3 minutes between pictures with a second shot back up if there is continued activity. You do get multiple shots of the same deer if it is hanging out in front of the camera, but only one shot if it is just passing by. Still being digital and with large memory cards, you just hit delete for any pictures you don't want. I can't remember how many pictures I can get on a card, I want to say somewhere around 250 or so.

I have a Cuddeback 2.0, and bought 2 32MB cards. I guess I should have went a little larger in memory. Anyway, I will just change the picture setting to 3 minutes, and probably bring the resolution setting down one and see how many pictures I can get. I will say that I was surprised to get 84 pics on the 32MB card. Thanks for the advice.

I've got the same set up, except i've got the 256 flash card, mine will hold 612 pics. The flash cards aren't cheap, but i think they are worth the extra cash. Lug

I found Sansdisk 256 compact flash cards (brand new) for 9.99 each on EBAY, i bought two and recieved them in less than three days, shipping was like 3.99, so toal for the two cards including shipping was less than 24.00. Pretty good deal i thought.

Alan I've had a problem with a lot of extraneous pictures of leaves/bushes moving on my Cuddeback until I finally turned the sensitivity down during the warmer months. I prefer to leave the delay set to 1 minute on mine.
