How many of us here are NRA members? And I don`t want to go through all the reasons why those who aren`t members, aren`t-I simply want to poll and see how many of us are-and if so, what is THAT motivation.
I`m a Life Member-and couldn’t be more proud of that fact-and I strive, (some times I do better than others), to be more than just a "member", I strive to actively participate.
I believe that without NRA, we wouldn`t have nearly the freedoms we have today, and I mean all freedoms, not just Second Amendment freedoms.
NRA has been very active recently-from backing the Castle Doctrine laws all across the country, (Indiana just passed ours-Thanks Governor Daniels), and been active with the New Orleans debacle, working to return firearms that were confiscated to their lawful owners, and blew the whistle on the scandalous tactics of the ATF last spring in the Maryland area, as they harassed lawful customers at several gun shows.
With an estimated 80 to 100 million gun owners in this country, yet only slightly better than 4 million of us in NRA-I hope we have a strong showing here-so…….
How many of you are NRA members?

Been a member for many many moons. I agree as the NRA is very proactive & keeps us abreast of what's going on. Especially the sneaky backdoor tactics the anti's try to slip past the general public. Sure do miss Charleston Heston!!!!!!

I'm a Lifer. Annoyed at the bad internal politics there though. The power structure there shafted some really good guys and seems more beholden to their PR firm than trying to work themselves out of the job of needing to defend RKBA.
But they are the 800lb gorilla in the game.

Proud member. As a student of history, I have no doubt that without the NRA, gunrights would be seriously eroded from where they are now if not non-existent. No other organization or group of organizations is as effective at thwarting the gun-haters. Join, all thee slackers!!!

Life member. I just toss all the money requests into the trash. If they call I just hang up. Treat them like any other telemarketer. Heck the state police alliance calls as much as they do.
