After a certain age they do sometimes go bad. If you have other outlets running off it down the wall there may be a problem in the wiring or possible moisture in them. Also, depending on what you have plugged in the tandem outlets, they may be pulling more than the GFCI breaker is rated for.

It's in the garage and I unplugged everything and it still keeps tripping. The house is only 14 years old.

I wonder if some moisture was getting to the outlet / wiring with all the wind and rain we had yesterday.......

What else is on that circuit? Is this GFI at the end of the line or middle beginning? Is there another GFI? Solo

USUALLY, should be etc. the GFCI should be the first device in line if there is more than 1 outlet on the circuit. Discoonecting all the downstream devices may be informative.

I remembered that there is another outlet outside on the deck. I found it was on the same circuit about two or so years ago when I tried to use a drill and had no power and it tripped the circuit breaker. I tore it all apart and there was rust and moisture on the outlet. I replaced the outlet or what ever it's called, dried everything and sealed it all with silicone. Ta-da no more breaker tripping. ;D ;D ;D
Thanks guys for all your input. I probably saved enough to buy another dozen decoys.

But in my book of rules Art's Rules Chapter 7 para 63-21, sub paragraph 31 (b) states and I quote "if the decoys are in consideration for purchased, not needing to be actually paid for, prior to the bill being delivered in person and placed in his hand then the bill is then null and void". Copies of the rule book available upon request for a small fee.
