The body was discovered about 3:30 p.m. in a wooded area on private property just east of Mann Road and north of I-465. Marion County sheriff's investigators are treating the death as a homicide. They said an autopsy would be performed. The man's identity and information about the condition of the body and other details were not immediately released. Deputies would say only that it was the body of a black male.

i never gave much thought of finding a body in a woods,but you know its got to be very freaky, its sad that people have no value on another persons life .shoot or stab them and leave them to rot alone like a varmint. sad.

That would creep me out! I deer hunted a woods where a murder victim was buried one season. I didn't know he was buried there until a couple of years later. Thank god!

It's a bad deal for the victims. But, at least their remains are discovered, which will hopefully give the authorities some leads & the surviving families some closure.
