I would hope we could get a cool logo, and decent looking hats and shirts.

Come on guys.... You all know that you wear the same stinky t-shirt every day. Don't you think it's time to retire that nasty thing and pony up for something new? Word is, Woody is working with Tommy Hillfiger to design something ultra-stylish! You could be the 1st to set the trend that will soon be sweeping the nation!

A word of caution, one of the members on dougs board did this same thing. He asked for a count of people who wanted hats, t-shirts and then had them made. Out of all the takers only a few actually bought one. If you decide to have them made, make people prepay. h.h.

Well, seeing as how this has been brought up by someone that seen it on my site I should add a little experience to the conversation.
Even though it is fun to wear and support your board with hats and shirts it is also costly.
I agree with hornharvester that a prepay is the best way to go if Woody decides to do this.
The biggest reason is because all fees are up front.
First there is the digitizing fee for the logo. That can cost anywhere from $25 to $80, and that is per logo.
Then you need to buy the product by the dozen. So hats aren't that big a deal but when you are talking shirts that is where it can get difficult. You can order a dozen shirts in various sizes but trying to guess what you will need could leave you stuck with a bunch that no one can wear.
So if you order with prepay, then the order can be placed with actual needs and then no one is out a large amount of money.
Anyway, I thought I would pass along my experience on this matter. I hope it all works out, I do think it is a great idea.

I had a buddy that recently sold off his screenprinting business, or else we would have had an "insider" on this project.
Anybody know any screenprinters???

Decatur, I have a my 0.02 to put in. I have a company I deal with through the FD and I also us her through my lawn care. No charge on logo design, if you don't want something created, but you can go through her books and pull out items from the designs and create one. Her prices and quality is great. PM me if you would like more info and I'd be glad to assist you in any way. Oh yeah they actually carry some camo underware.....

Thanks Fire, but Woody is the man doing the research, so he'll probably be contacting you if there is enough interest to warrant it. Right now I would say probably not.
