Just got an email from one of my old professors- apparently Emerald Ash Borer has been discovered and confirmed at the campground at Indiana Beach. The news was released yesterday (8/29).
Folks, PLEASE do not take firewood with you when you go camping. Buy it locally. I know it's expensive to do so, but taking firewood is the main way bugs like this spread. If you must take wood, MAKE SURE you burn ALL of it! Don't leave it for the next people, even if you want to "be nice".
The EAB is a nasty little critter that has only been known about here in the US for about 6 years. It's main area of infestation is around Detriot and across the lake into Canada, but it's been spreading in recent years. It completely wipes out ash populations, and many times the tree is, for all intents and purposes, dead before it is realized that the bug has infested it.
Be careful with your firewood! Millions of ash trees are literally depending on it!!!!

Great post...great advice.
I am so concerned about this bug. It has the ability to change the view of the woods from every angle.
