This may belong in the fishing thread and if it does by all means mods move it there. I will be picking up my new (to me) boat next week and I need some honest opinions here. I have never owned a boat that was not made out of aluminum and said john on the side of it. I will give you the stats and you tell me if I am getting ripped off or not. 81 Bass Tracker Procraft Fish N Ski iMotor Evenrude 150 (runs great starts with no problem) New Prop All new carpet All seats are new 74# thrust Trolling motor Old depthfinder Trailer rewired with 2 hitch locks New tires all the way around (even spare) New carpet on it as well All for $3000 ... now I have done some research and have found nothing like it that cheap but I thought I might ask some experts.

Thanks Woody, I don't know how to resize them and the wife is doing homework so I don't want to interrupt her (for fear of lossing a limb).
Bleh now I can't even get tiny pic to work anymore ... anyway you get the idea of it.

I know almost nothing about boats but the guy told me that if I used it for fishing only and took care of it like he does it would last me 20 years.... LOL I only need it for about 3 or 4 until I can afford to upgrade it.

If the boat floats, the motor runs reliably, and you use it as much as you want then it is a good deal.
A few yrs ago I was looking for a boat, looked at a fish/ski but was told if I wanted a ski boat to just get a ski boat. If I wanted a fishing boat to just get a fishing boat. I took that as good advice, but the fish/ski boat wasn't as affordable as the one you got either. And there were times when I was wishing I had more person capacity then what a bass boat allowed.
For the first time in over 15 yrs I am boatless besides a canoe. It got to a point where all I used the boat for was storage!!!
