They are about ready to open up a new Sportsmans Warehouse in the new plaza on Hwy 26,just east of caterpillar plant in Lafayette. I understand these are pretty awesome stores. No golf clubs, ball bats, soccer gear, bicycles, etc. Just manly hunting, fishin & campin stuff !

If I only had money..... ;D
It'd be nice if something like that would open up on the *west* side, which is where I'm at 99% of the time I'm up there...

I was up there last Saturday and could not find this store. Is this east of 65 ? I am not that familiar with Lafayette, I just send a lot of money up that way through my son at Purdue.

I haven't been on the east side of town in a while, but I'm originally from the Lafayette area... As I understand it, this store is *west* of I-65 on SR 26. Somewhere around the Creasy Lane intersection. Don Pablos is on the NW corner of the intersection, the SW corner used to be nothing (maybe still is), if I recall correcty, the Kendrick dealersip is on the NE corner, and I can't for the life of me remember what's on the SE corner- maybe Taco Bell?

OK thanks. I know where the Don Pablos is located. Very close to the Super Target store. I am going up next Saturday as well. I'll report back what I found.

Another stop you may want to consider is Arrows III at the intersection of 25 and I-65 on the NE corner. I haven't been there since we moved down here, but they've got an indoor video archery range. At least they used to.... Don't forget about Rural King and Dick's in Lafayette too. When I start wishing we lived closer to our parents, all I have to do is take a drive out of West Lafayette and see the urban sprawl in the form of subdivisions... It won't be long and someone will be knocking on my parent's door looking to buy the family 80.......

The Sportsmans Warehouse is west of 65 on St Rd 26. Turn left onto creasy lane. It is right across the street from Sams Club. Opens Thursday and Grand Opening on Saturday starting at 8 am.
I will be there when they open on Thursday. Can't make the grand opening due to working.
We need something like this store in our area.

Any ideas of hours on the store ? I'd like to get over there Thursday but it won't be until at least 7p.m. I pulled that trick Sunday at Gander Mountain in Indy. Stopped first at Hooters then got to Gander at 5:58...closed at 6 !! I coulda stayed at Hooters longer !!!

I don't know what the hours are right now. After I check them out this week I will try to get back over here and post the hours and an insight to the store.

FWI blackhawk outfitters, between Nashvillle and Bloomington now has a pro shop with the big name bows and gear including Matthews. Ol'boy said they just sunk $35'000 into stuff. They also have 10 3-D's you can shoot all you want from a elevated deck for $5.00 and a indoor range too.

I also went today. Very much like a Gander Mountain.
Some prices I thought were pretty good and others I thought were a bit high.
One example is the Bowmaster Bowpress. Most places sell it for $36, at Sportsmans warehouse it was $45.
I thought the store was great. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have more archery items.
I was really hoping they would carry a bigger line of arrows. In the archery dept, they has a little of everything but not a lot of anything.
Now the gun section was hugh. So if guns and shooting are your thing, then I think you will love this store.
