Just for reference ,At the end of the gun season I saw a nice 6 point buck however not A very heavy body. He had an unusual white spot of hair near the right rump. Saturday I think saw the same deer ,his rack was about half as big as it was in January but Body looked much heavier. I could not tell how many points as he was about 250 yards away .But He will be a very nice Buck come October.

Seen a REAL NICE one antlered buck in the road the other day. It was just outside the ear or right at it. But it was only a one antlered buck?

Antlers started coming on in late April, they start to shed their velet in early September. So I am guessing antlet production is about a four month process. In round numbers I would say that most deer are about 50% developed.

Should be around 75% base formation & 60% length & mass developement.

I think generally by the end of July they usually don't grow any new points.

Had 14 pics on the deer cam today. 5 of the same buck. 8 pointer with some more growing to do. 1/2 developed though for sure.

Mid July they will be at 80 to 85% complete. Can't wait to develop some film on the ole camera. I still have the 35mm. Need to invest in digital when this one craps out.
