I say yes, but I am in desperate need of new broadheads, I need more arrows, and my bow restrung. So by the time I get that all done it will be nice and close to "go" time.

I always THINK I'm ready until the night before, then it's a mad dash to get ready. In fact, one time, I cut my bowstring the night before opening day. This was when I was a kid and didn't have extra bowstrings, or even know that I needed to check my sights with the new string on. Luckily, I didn't see any deer in those days. Then again I think I'm ready until I'm up in the stand the first time and I realize I've forgotten something! I also hate the first few times in stand, I can't remember in which pocket I keep what. I am definately "ready" to go tho!!

I'm no where close to being physically ready, but I'm sure mentally ready!
My family owns ground in Tippecanoe County, in the urban zone, so September 15 it is for me too!

If I'm counting right, there's now *69* days left until October 1!
Anyone any closer to being ready?
I know I'm not physically ready yet!

Last year, the night before the season, I was giving my bow the final once-over...and I found that my lower limb had a crack all the way down the center of it! Was up shooting a buddy's loaner bow until 11:30 the night before the season opened. 5:00 a.m. came pretty early after the stress of that night!

Good thing your buddy's bow was compatible with your weight and draw lengths. It could have been worse. You could have noticed it at first light in your stand. Many years ago after my first morning hunt I picked out a aleaf to shoot a practice arrow at. I pulled the bow back and CRACK... the limb went. if I had been drawing on a good buck when that happened I would have cried. Fortunately a good friend of mine was national sales manager for that bow and we fixed it up before the evening hunt. .

I went to hang it on my bow hook and missed (damn Oneida's)! The bow dropped twenty-five feet to the ground and really screwed the cables up. I had to then borrow my brother-in-law's bow for a couple of weeks...and that bow's draw length was NOT very compatible with me. Bad first two days of the season for me last year.

I have a new rest, new sights, going to put on a new string, peep, and STS system. Need to get a few more arrows cut too. So NO.....not even close to ready yet. But with all the new seasons of the hunting shows on the Outdoor Channel, I'm getting as giddy as a school girl!
