Not that weird at all..... many fawns are auctioned off like this simply because museums and other places that have wildlife displays create a market for them. I see road kill fawns on ebay also. I don't know why anyone would want one, but someone is needing them or they wouldn't sell. I believe that the Indiana State Museum has a fawn in their woodland scene. I also know that in the Natural Resources bldng at Ball State they have a couple full body deer mounted along with a fawn.

It's not eBay that is weird, it's the people making the listings and purchases that make it weird!
If there is a market, then it will be sold!

So, you fellows that don't have a problem with it, will it be ok when people atart whacking fawns and selling them for a few bucks? This on just happens to come from a high fence, but who's going to check each one out?

Timex...... From what I've seen on eBay, as well as taxidermy.net where people routinely sell hides for taxidermy, nobody is whacking fawns for eBay. Every occurance I've seen of a fawn on eBay it's been from a high fence operation where the animal died naturally, OR I have seen some instances of road kill in which the carcass was not damaged. Once the fawn matures past a month or so, it's no longer something that is desirable, it just becomes a small deer. Nobody is walking the early summer woods looking for fawns to kill......at least legally. I've never seen an instance where a fawn was posted in which it had a bullet hole in the hide.

Yea I have a problem with people killing fawns to sell on eBay.....[glow=red,2,300] but that isn't what I said[/glow]. People sell antlers and mounts on there all the time but I don't think they where killed for the sole purpose of selling them on eBay.
