Ever since I went to the Jimmy Houston letter site, I have been flooded with pop ups. Anyone else having this problem? God I hate pop ups. Do they really think people will buy stuff from those annoying adds?

That didn't happen to me.
Yes, they are VERY annoying.
That is what I like about the forum provider here.
A banner at the top that poeple can choose to click on if they want to. No annoying pop ups.

Go to www.download.com/ and download some spyware blocker , you've probably been infected . Most computers have some spyware on them these days , I just cleaned a bunch from our home puter the other day . I use a program called Ad-Aware , it does a great job and it's free . While you're there download a pop up blocker , your ISP apparently doesn't provide one .

Thats weird..
Did you click on it from here and that is what you got?
I've got Ad- Aware, Spybot and Microsoft AntiSpyware.
I run a scan about once a week.
I never get pop ups anymore, no matter where I go.

No, I went from my Hotmail account. Now wherever I go I get pop ups. I'm at "work" so I sent an email to the IT guys. They should take care of it quick. Thanks for the link Kevin, I did it but I still have them. Frustrating!!

ad aware had the best spyware program, but microsoft has a better one now. It is available at microsoft.com for free. The new pop up blockers work very well. Microsoft has a free tool bar that will block those pop ups. I doubt Jimmy houston's site is the source of the problems. Do you have anyone else using your pc?

Have you tried deleting your temporary internet files ? Also delete all your cookies. Dont forget to erase your history also.
I share a puter at work with the other shift so when i leave its spic and span clean.
Check your programs also to see if anything snuck in when you downloaded something.
Good luck......semisneak.
