Just wondering what others thought of the trashing of our President at the funeral. I am a former Democrat who was driven from the party by just this sort of action. I do still vote for the MAN and not just blanket party but as these types seem to increasingly be the voice of the Dems I can't help but wonder how long before they become completely irrelevant. It is a shame that the worst president we ever had (The peanut guy) had to use that forum to show his ignorance.

I didn't see that, but it sure doesn't surprise me.
Carter is becoming an embarassment to the Democrats.
A funeral is no place to get digs in to further anyone's agenda.
Bush did not have to go to it.

I agree. I can't think of anything more cowardly than attacking someone verbally when because of the situation, you know the other party can't respond. And just in case you thought we were done with the likes of the peanut farmer, don't look now. Seems his son is wanting to get into the same line of work his daddy was in.

Carter became an embarassment to them way before this , remember , he was POTUS at one time . ;D
His remarks at the King funeral , and the dummycraps apparent tacit endorsement of them , paints a starkly realistic picture of the state of their party . They're going down the toilet fast , the truly sad part is that they are so blinded by their hatred of the GOP that they can't even see that they themselves are the ones with the hand on the handle . Whoosh !

Carter's statement:
“It was difficult for (the Kings) personally — with the civil liberties of both husband and wife violated as they became the target of secret government wiretapping, other surveillance and as you know, harassment from the FBI."
Basically a cheap shot at President Bush's terrorist wire tapping program....trying to draw a similarity between what happened in the 60's during the Civil Rights movement and what we are doing to protect our US soil. It was very tasteless, and had the President used that forum to push a policy you would never hear the end of it by mainstream media.

I didn't see it either, but I thought the big flap was over the southern minister that went on about the war/Iraq... as Travis said, that's what I heard on Fox anyway... must be true
