Now this is bad..Bald eagle killedLeads sought into November shooting of bird near Dudleytown TRIBUNE REPORTS tribune@tribtown.com State and federal wildlife officials are asking for the public’s help to determine who shot and killed a bald eagle southeast of Dudleytown. According to a press release from Indiana Conservation Officer Phil Nale, a person walking along County Road 475E, near County Road 400S, in early November found the eagle and called the state department of natural resources. Conservation officers retrieved the eagle, protected by state and federal regulations, Nov. 10. It had been shot, Nale said. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of anyone responsible for shooting the eagle. Penalties for the eagle’s death may include fines, restitution and jail time. It is about 10 miles south of Seymour in the southcentral part of the state. How pathetic is that....

The saddest part of it all is that without knowing who shot the eagle, hunters will be given a bad wrap and only added to the anti-hunter sentiment. Truth is, whomever shot the bird should never be called a hunter, even if they thought they were. Not sure how anyone could misidentify an eagle as any type of game bird that could be hunted in Indiana. Just my opinion anyways.

If they catch them the feds will not go easy on them and that is good.

I hear they taste just like chicken and go particularlly good with Spotted Owl and clubbed baby Harp Seal.

Spotted owl tastes like chicken , eagles taste more like all those fish they eat . Kinda disgusting without a side of Komodo Dragon to help it down ...
