I don't like "canned hunts" but if the HSUS is against them then that's all the more reason to keep them going. It reminds me of something I read once. Something about when they came for someone I didn't say anthing and when the came for me there was no one else left to say anthing.
These anti's are picking at things that hunters don't agree on such as canned hunts. What will happen when they pick something to go after such as hunting with dogs? I don't hunt with dogs so it wouldn't bother me. What about trapping? What about hunting with assault rifles? Eventually they will get to something I do care about and then all the folks that could have supported me are not interested since their sport is gone.
Even though most don't approve of "canned hunts" we should still keep them if for no other reason than the anti's are focusing on them.

I definitely don't like canned hunts; however I do see Wolfhound's point. I was reading things on that site like no skill required etc. and found myself agreeing with some of this (from HSUS no less)................I need to go rethink this!

That cartoonish portrayal might fool small children as "Bambi" did in it's day , but the kind of adult who would buy into that tripe is probably already one of their members anyway . While the vast majority of Americans won't tolerate harming animals they also support recreational hunting and are generally aware of it's benefits to all . It's up to us to see to it that things stay that way .
