Have not been on here for a couple of weeks besides hunting and other issues been kinda busy. Was going to tell you woody nice look to the forum but what is this bullcrap google ads that advertising GAY CRUISES? I guess if I had kids I sure would not want them coming here and seeing that and it kinda turned me off as well. Homophobic? if you want to call me that I do not care but seeing that kind of banner at a supposidly what I would think family type forum for hunting is wrong.

I don't like it either, but unless I pony up some big bucks I have absolutely NO choice in ads.
Google runs them and I have yet to see why they run that one here.
Maybe it is because we have so many men posting here?
I apologize, but there is nothing I can do about it.

If Alantis Gay Cruise want to spend their money advertising on this site....more power to them.
If you understand how "pro boards" works, you would realize that it is in fact the advertisers that provide this forum for us all to use.
The ads pop-up according to certian words that are typed in the forum.
Sex, bucks, breeding and many other common words we use in discussing deer hunting, may be "keyed" upon....and it may make the computer think we are all pervs.....lol
I would rather see the "gay cruise" ads over High Fence Hunting ads!!!!!!

jh45gun, cambygsp's explanation is correct & the reason Woody has no control over the pop-up's unless we all want to start paying a board membership fee to cover the cost of spyware pop-up protection. The internet is great, but we all have to deal with this type of computer crap from time to time. You're doing a great job Woody!!!!!!!!

I posted this once before but it did not take. You could try what Greybeards outdoor site does and that is get sponsers to pay to have their banners on his site. That way you can control who you have for advertising and the board gets paid for. GB is a good guy I bet he would tell you the ins and outs of that if you asked him.
