While doing my last minute Wal-Mart hunting shopping with my 11yo son for scent and another pair of camo gloves (that keep escaping from my pack every year), I came across a DVD of "Knight & Hale Ultimate Whitetail Season XI" 2 discs for $9.99
We watched it that night, and it was remarkable to me for three reasons:
(1) They show several hunts that went bad, and explain why... (gun dropped and sights dinged, bad angle on a bow shot)
(2) Excellent video quality showing whitetails in dense cover, and showing how hard it is to spot a motionless deer in cover.
(3) Minimal ad time spent on their products, and lots of tips on stand placement and use of scents and calling.
It's a great teaching tool for showing kids what to look for in the woods, how to work a grunt call properly, and proper shot placement. For $10, you can't beat it...
Got my adrenaline up looking for that spot of white and a flick of the ears... now if I can just find a 10-pointer to match one Harold Knight takes bowhunting in TN running around my woods... ;D

Great KD....I was just at WalyWorld and spent $40 on sausage seasoning and a hand grinder. Now I have to go spend another $20 on the DVD's and cover/lure scents (thanks for the reminder)

Hey, think of it as planning for something to do on the next rainy/windy day... Don't feel bad about forgetting the scent... I had my head in bowland and forgot to pick up the slugs I was going to get to sight my gun in this weekend... with gas prices the way they are, I'm going to have to start writing stuff down... I turned 50 in July, and keep meaning to sign up for the AARP, but keep forgetting to send in the app... now where did I put that letter... ;D KD
