Wyoming has had a special Access Yes, walk in area program for several years. It's a sweet deal. There is a space on your license where you can voluntarily donate a few bucks to the program. the state then uses the funds to lease walk in access to private ground. It's a sweet deal. Thousands of formerly private acres have been opened up to the public.

Woody,
Lack of funding and lack of manpower is what I was told about a year and a half ago when I quizzed a IDNR representitive about the "access yes" program out west. If I am not mistaken, there was at one time a "half hearted" effort in Indiana to put a program like that togather. I beleive it was an all volunteer effort that never really took off.
