FALSE!
Any time that a hunter is off the ground they need fall protection.
Put safety life lines on all your stands, including ladder stands, and ALWAYS wear a safety harness.

Makes about as much sense as a guy I know who only wears his motorcycle helmet on the highway. |

A hunter in Cass county was injured Monday in a silly accident. Apparently was lowering a loaded gun from tree stand via rope and somehow it went off and shot him in the foot. We could hear the ambulances from where we were hunting.
Pretty stupid to do such a thing with a round in the chamber.
Lucky it only got his foot.
