I understand that the antlerless permit tiering of prices proposal is still alive and well.
The first tag will still cost $24, but subsequent tags will be cheaper.
I also understand that this will be for non-residents too.

I can't wait to see the number of tags sold under the tiering system, and how well it is working. I think this is a good incentive.

The only thing saving the IDNR's bacon on number of antlerless deer killed is the large number of lifetime license holders and exempt landowners - basically free deer licenses.. They took 58% of last year's deer harvest.. Controlling the herd should be the number one priority. making money should be a distant second.

This problem just screams "Youth Doe Only Season." What a perfect opportunity for youngsters to learn firsthand about herd balance and managment.

Woody-at $1500 for my lifetime hunting license it`s hardly free deer tags.

The Youth Anterless season was passed yesterday. There's a lot of stuff in that administrative package. There's another coming in May. I believe there will be a Youth Turkey season in it.

A tiered system for antlerless tags is a great step in the right direction , more youth days is also a good idea . Things just keep getting better for hunting in Indiana !
