Text for the Day -- Psalm 89:14-18

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.
Happy are the people who know the festal shout,
who walk, O LORD, in the light of your countenance;
they exult in your name all day long,
and extol your righteousness.
For you are the glory of their strength;
by your favor our horn is exalted.
For our shield belongs to the LORD,
our king to the Holy One of Israel.
Devotional

These words of praise are sung to God, to whom the king looks to for
help. He praises God's commitment to his people. Those who walk in
the light of God know joy and hope, and understand that God is good
and stands by them. God works for justice and righteousness for the
oppressed. We are called to look to God for our redemption.
Prayer

Help me to remember your steadfast love, O Lord. Amen
