Usually every fall my HUMMERS will dwindle in numbers over a period of 2-3 weeks till they are completely gone. This year our pack of about 6-8 disappeared over night....GONE.

My barn swallows typically all disappear overnight around the first of September.

I just said the same thing to my wife yeaterday and then looked out the kitchen window just a bit ago and there was one on the feeder. Guess they didn’t all leave just yet.

We had more this year than ever. My wife was filling two large feeders every day for the last two months. We still have a few hanging on, but most have left. I don't know what our sugar bill was this year. I know she went through several large bags.

I don't know what our sugar bill was this year. I know she went through several large bags. You made me laugh per the sugar bill. I spend about $800 on sugar every year to feed to bees this time of year. But in my case, that $800 makes about $6000 where I can take more honey and substitute sugar.
