This summer has been full of animal road finds while driving at work. I found a buck stuck in a fence this week. It looked like it got hit by a car and died in the fence. A while back I found an injured barred owl standing on the road. I called the DNR and was told they don't have the staff to deal with things like that anymore. I found an wildlife rehabilitation place that took it. I've also found a huge beaver and an injured buzzard.

No, they ain't cheap but what is cheap today? I have to put them in the back seat or else I'll eat the whole bag before I get home.......... Last time there I bought 2 bags and put BOTH in the back seat. I just happened upon a little different scenario in my case. I had the bag laying in the front seat with the sun beating down on it. Do that for a few hours and them things are nice and warm like they came right out of the roaster! |

If I happened to "drop" a few of those Sweet 'N Salty Pecans from my tree stand, Do you think I could get busted for baiting deer!?  |

I was mushroom hunting back in the early 1980's. I emerged from the spoil banks on an old one-lane gravel road miles from my truck. I was walking back and found a big green metal Coleman cooler lying in a ditch. When I opened it up inside was another smaller cooler. inside it was a small box. Inside the small box, are you ready for this was a human toe?
