We saw 8 deer yesterday afternoon in Jay county, 2 of them still had racks. One was a half rack, the other a full. Both would have probably been nice 8-pointers. I figured they would have shed their antlers by now?

. I would have thought they would all be on the ground by now. I have seen a deer feeder apparatus that had bungee cords around where the feed comes out. The bungee cords break the antlers off if they are ready, and the bungee cords break free if the antlers are not ready to come off yet, so the deer doesn't get hung up. I'm going to try to come up with one of these things for next year.

I saw home made ones on archery talk last summer. Maybe do a search there.
